San Diego Quail Botanical Gardens

"4 Miles of trails on 37 acres" A beautiful series of gardens connected by winding dirt and concrete paths accessable on foot and pushing a stroller. There is a section of the gardens called Hamilton Children's Garden that has a big tree house and plenty of interactive activities full of learning opportunies. There are covered picnic tables as well below the tree house area where you can enjoy a packed lunch. Be sure to apply sunscreen! You are in the sun more than it may seem :) I highly recommend obtaining a map or visiting the website to plan out what you would like to see while at the gardens. Two parts that are especially lovely to have the camera out for are, the lookout (pictures below) and the large koi pond in the middle of the bamboo gardens.
